I have to keep a home office for my work but get paid by check directly from the company or thru a contracting firm. I only receive W-2's from my employers. I receive a per diem to help pay for my expenses and travel to and from my work location. Also I must keep receipts, income and expenses separate for each state I work in. If you can gear the program to suit the needs of people who do this sort of contracting work, which some call consulting work, it would really help. We do not all work from a cookie cutter form. With more and more people contracting to work these sort of programs need to keep up with the times. Your app is a good app but I wouldn't call it great because of the reasons stated above. Also there is no mention as to whether anyone in your company employees or other contracted parties will see my information and be sorting through it to organize these receipts, etc. I noticed a statement listed by similar apps that have you accept or decline a statement that mentions the way they process the information you put into the app. I saw no mention of this when I accepted your app download.

Re: Multi-Currency Support on ExpenseBay

Hi Joshua,

Do you guys handle VAT/GST/CST when entering expenses?

Re: ExpenseBay is now ExpenseCloud

OMG....what a joke!

Re: HealthCare IP Partners

Dennis -

Thanks for you post and joining the discussion. Just wanted to clarify a few of the features you mention. First, we do have workflow (approval/reject) and it's very easy to implement (Just requires a valid email for the approver). Our SalesForce application has a more sophisticated approval process along with enterprise reporting/dashboards. We don't have enterprise policy enforcement and have no plans to implement. Instead we will deliver light weight policies that can be shared amongst a company (example - can't turn in an expense report with missing receipts for a transaction over $20)

One of the key feature missing from all of the products you mentioned was seamless integration with NetSuite's Employee Center. If you take ExpenseBay + NetSuite, you get those products, plus some. I believe one of the key factors in Tom's decision was working with NetSuite (and were the only solution doing this out of the box).

Happy to hear more of your thoughts. Please feel free to email or send me a tweet.

Cheers,
Eric Sikola

CEO, ExpenseBay

Re: HealthCare IP Partners

Tom - I hate to disagree with your conclusion, but I have to tell you the back end functionality of ExpenseBay is extremely weak compared to products like Certify and ExpenseWatch. ExpenseBay is really a light weight consumer app with no workflow for sign off and approval, expense policy enforcement, or enterprise reporting capabilites. Not sure what your requirements were for your review, but clearly you were swayed by price and not functionality, that is for certain. Good luck with this one. And I hope for your sake the legal team at Concur does not find your post or they will certainly "be in touch" (they will probably contact ExpenseBay too!).

Re: Multi-Currency Support on ExpenseBay

Yes - We'll be adding more to the iPhone in the next release as well.

Re: Multi-Currency Support on ExpenseBay

Its great to have the multicurrency functions. However the mobile version's do not support all 160 currencies like the web version. I am a non US user and my currency is not supported in the mobile version.
